Joke entry:
Supercalifragilistium: Because it does so many wonderful things it defies all common description. Also probably refers to something copywrited so you prolly can't use it in-game. Doesn't invalidate my point, however.![]()

Planomadium.... I don't need an alpha key since I've got alpha access, but it's still fun to enter![]()
Ascion (ahs-ki-on)
derived from ascent and ancient, since it's a material that can be used as either energy or as improvement to existing materials, it would "ascent" materials to a higher form, advance technology through it's immense power, it would be a short name, because of it's value (like gold has), but also similar to Radon (a strong radioactive material). The ancient part is what makes it mysterious, maybe long forgotten, maybe discovered by an old civilization that long ago crumbled an fell to dust, maybe even overpowered by this materials immense power.
Arcane - known or understood by very few, its a mysterious alien mineral that is obscure.
Whoa, so many entries to pick from. We love you!
"Well, I thought. This is how the world works. All energy flows according to the whims of the Great Magnet. What a fool I was to defy him."
-Raoul Duke
It could be named something related to energy itself or with it's capacity to improve things. Something like Energite/Energium, Improvite/Improvium...
I imagine this material as a semitransparent mineral material with a mysterious glowing core, and maybe when found in alien places it could have any kind of alien symbols inscribed on them. I would use this to create massive power generators to power my spaceship and other machines
And for the funny name, I like "Bossonium", because when you get this, you're the fucking boss.
Monolithium
Because we all know a certain iconic alien monument.![]()
I thinking of Astatine, most rarest material in the known universe, what actually exists
http://www.npr.org/sections/krulwich...n-the-universe
Allthough real Astatine is impossible to use due its half-life of 8 hours, due to that its very very very rare.
Maybe some aliens figured out how to prolong this decaying of the element into something useful

Enxerigen -the best solution, only today, buy 5 chunks get 1 as a bonus.
Talc. It's nice and short, and you can build it into a bunch of cool names. Talc as a refined material, talcum as an ore, talcium as a fuel. Talcium reactor, talc cannon, etc. Mostly it'd just be cool as a name.
Iniqidiridium
Only the true nomads will get a piece of this.
Tremium - just came in my mind...
or Terdoxium
Electrum
Ancient Egyptions used it
Electrum was worked and used similarly to gold: chariots, thrones and offering-tables were wrought with it, ceilings, roofs, columns and pyramidions covered with it, amulets, statues and jewellery fashioned from it.

Also used for lightsaber production

I put my suggestion in as Xenonium. Xeno a combining form meaning “alien,” “strange,” “guest,” used in the formation of compound words. Xenonium means basically Alien Element lol
Quantite crystals.
They refine down to Quantium.
I'll give this a go, not very creative but here goes.
Triytium,
sound energy based enough?
Tellurium Crystals
How about a real elementfind details at link element from ancient stars

Vultane - a rare resource created under unimaginable conditions of heat, pressure and gravity, during the explosion of Super Novas.
Kinda used tungsten as inspiration, my favorite element xD
Kármánium or Kármanium - this is a hungarian mineral
More info about this Person here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theodo...C3%A1rm%C3%A1n
Thanks for the suggestions, Nomads. There are certainly names we can pick from already! Which we will have to do, if there aren't enough votes for a winner.
Anyway - let's close down the contest by Friday evening - 5 pm Central European time (in 3 days and a couple hours).

Yo ! Cranium Ballsite or maybe Cranite Ballsium should be the rarest element !
For the funny contest, Weirdinium because that description makes it weird af.
Now for the serious one, I'll go for Zhandenite, because it sounds really alien, and because of what it does (which has no similarities on earth) I wanted to give it the most alien name possible
