Question Kickstarter Wreck Designers - How to Submit Your Design

Please note that we've changed the way how we collect your entries. See below.

This thread is primarily intended for Kickstarter Wreck Designers with instructions on how to submit their designs. I will be adding your designs here so you can be sure they are not left out.

It will also show other Nomads what to expect to find on their journeys.

    1) You will need to create the wreck in the Editor, which you can download from here >> Editor Download

    2) Your submission should be a compact enough creation (between 1000-3000 blocks), it can be either a space-ship or a vehicle.

    3) When you have finished your creation save it in the Editor (you will need to register in the Editor to be able to save your builds).

    4) Send us the save name and your login credentials (e-mail) - either PM me here, or e-mail me.

    5) Please include a screenshot of your build. So we know we have the right one + can check whether it can be used.

    6) Later on our graphic artists will smash and damage and wreck your design and put it into the game.

    7) Lucky Nomads will encounter your wreck in the game and either try to repair it or salvage the materials.

If my calculations are correct, there should be 69 Wreck Designs here.

    Hello Nomads,

There is a new release of the game out and it brings some changes for Wreck Designers.

Since the 0.8.12 version you can create wreck designs directly in the game. We still do not have a tool to convert those you have created in the editor. And we have different blocks in game than in editor, so it would be very complicated and a lot of work for just 3 creations.

So I need to ask you to recreate those designs in the game and send them again. Sorry for that. Hope it will not cost you much effort.

    Now the instructions:
    1. Create a vehicle/shipwreck as a single structure
      • You can use both creative or survival mode, but in survival you can use unwelded blocks as a part of wreck design,
in creative you have only blocks in finished state.
      • You can include storage containers into your build, but it's contents will not be a part of the wreck in the game. We will fill your containers with our lootpacks or add our own containers.
      • Keep the dimensions of your build under 10 meters (20 basic blocks) length.
      • Do not use more than 250 blocks, do not use many active blocks.
      • Try to think about it as a wreck, not working machines, do not misuse physics. We reserve the right to modify/wreck your creation a little bit if we consider it not a wreck.
    2. Point by mouse on your wreck
    3. Open the console by clicking shift+~ or shift+F1
    4. Enter command "blueprint" (without quotes). It will save the blueprint as a file and show the path to it.
    5. Send us that file by e-mail to wreckdesign@planet-nomads.com, include your Kickstarter e-mail address, so we could check that you're the real Wreck Designer .
