Jack Existing Vehicle

Is there a good way to expand on an existing vehicle? If I try to add blocks it starts tipping, etc. Somehow putting a jack back under an existing vehicle would be great. Otherwise I can't see a way to make the footprint of the vehicle bigger.

I think it's planned for jacks to become functional (for example, press e to expand/retract)

I really do hope that they do implement working jacks. Today I had a nightmare of a time trying to get a vehicle of off a jack. It was causing major physics issues. Vehicle would become embedded into the ground forcing me to reload and try again.
