Character slides while standing still.
so random thing started happening today at a new base i was building a new base, i noticed when i standing still on the foundation my character would slowly start sliding towards the nearest edge and fall off the foundation piece. this only happens when standing on something you craft though, such as the large container, ceiling, foundation. but stops when your on the ground. Any idea how to fix it? Its getting kinda irritating having to adjust my spot constantly.

this has been around for awhile. the larger the structure the more you seem to slide the further from the center you are. this has been fixed in the new Unity build we will be seeing soon

Ran into this in 0.8.13, but I figured out the cause.
I was building a new mobile base. I had originally started the construction on top of a short inner wall so I would have room to work under it, as I find the bobbing that happens on hover pads to be insufferable. When I started installing the hover pads on the bottom of my new mobile, I discovered that my short inner wall was in my way, so I added a new one in another location and removed my original short inner wall.
What I did not initially realize is that my base had some momentum imparted into it. As I continued to work on installing the hover pads, I had to venture out for more cobalt. When I'd returned from the location where I'd been gathering cobalt, a bit over 2300 away, I saw my mobile base falling over, and finally coming to rest against my little platform where I'd build my 3d printer, refinery and the like.
Once I'd powered up the generators and used the mobiles large air blades to move my mobile back into the area where I'd been working, I noticed the short wall was still attached, but only to the bottom of my mobile, not the ground. I removed this wall section and finished construction leaving the large air blades on Hover mode, and no longer experienced any sliding.
I'm wondering if this might not be what's happening to others experiencing sliding - the structure in question has some momentum applied to it, even if otherwise stationary.

this happens with grounded structures as well. im not sure what is really causing it but it something that has been adressed with the new unity build
