Discovered where the desert biome is near a more temperate zone. I had an overheating warning and then it started to rain. Once the rain started, I received an extreme temperature warning about cold. Logically the two should balance each other out and there should be no warning but instead both continued. See miniscule picture underneath with both hot and cold warning messages and if you look really closely, you can see the white line of a passing rain drop.

Death Valley, California - 118 F at mid-day. Storm rolls in, rain is FREEZING cold (due to the height from which it falls (DV 282 feet below sea-level).

So is this actually a bug or is it perfectly legitimate to have simultaneous too hot and too cold status? Never experienced that in real life. One followed by the other, yes, that occurs naturally but both at the same time?

A fever and chills? Body temp of 101 while shivering and wrapped up in a blanket?
Working outside on a cold winter day - say, 14 below zero, while bundled up a parka and several layers of clothes, sweating and freezing at the same time?

We are, after all, on an alien world, so perhaps some endothermic reaction is taking place?

More likely, it's just an odd glitch, as I've never encountered it myself, but not entirely out of the realm of possible, especially for something sci-fi.

BUT more importantly they should give us more ways to deal with bad weather; we should have Sci-Fi versions of cooling fans, space heaters, fog lights, deicers, air filters, humidifiers, dehumidifiers and etc.

If we are scientists, we should be able to handle more liquids and gases and not only ores. I like how "Oxygen Not Included" handles gases.

What about simpler, more immediate solutions, such at taking shelter in a cave, either naturally occurring or manufactured via multi-tool?
Or for dealing with the cold, building a simple fire? It worked for humans for oh, 2 million years or so.

As we are wearing this wonder-suit that is meant to handle most non-extreme temperature conditions, shouldn't that be able to use basic heat transfer techniques to balance the hot parts of the suit with the cold parts of the suit to gain a plus/minus so near to zero that its regular heating/cooling techniques can handle the rest? After all, this is not about the person inside but rather a machine designed to stabilise the temperature of the person inside.
