Stairs are nice - but Ladders

Ladders are just plain convenient. Yes, we have jet packs, but we still spend more time walking with our feet, on the ground, than we do jet-packing around.
Far too many convenient reasons to not have ladders.

I have rotated stairs to create a ladder, if I remember correctly it work OK. (It was a long time ago)

Ladders would be nice, but what I would really love would be a switchboard controlled elevator.

Great idea, but once we have stairs, the survival mode will likely punish us with head injuries if we keep jetpackig indoors.

No head injuries, but we will be required to have carbon monoxide detectors installed.
