[LOW PRIORITY] Compact and Medium Medbay are identical

Compact and Medium Medbay are identical.
Both show the same recipes and with the same requirements.

Yup, it shouldn't be like that. Thanks

Yes I agree with Xaver. The convey ports are a big advantage for usage in automated buildings. You don't have to run to each Medbay to fill it with material. When your green house produced the herb, your Medbay starts to produce...
For me it is a definitive advantage.

I seem to always have a basic expectation in tiers of equipment

    - Small (Compact) equipment = easiest to build, fits in tight spaces, minimal internal storage and limited queue slots
    - Medium equipment = roughly equivalent to small version, more storage and queues, faster production rate, enhancements to make it appealing (like conveyor connection)
    - Large equipment = highest efficiency of production, reduction in raw materials required for process, etc.

There should always be a reason to move up when possible, and automation potential is a great option even if the material inputs & product outputs are the same between connected and non-connected versions. But, I'd really like to see a differentiation introduced, with the high end elite machinery demonstrating higher material efficiency and speeds come into the mix with some of our equipment.

I like that idea, Vrmithrax. Let's expand on it .... and progress crafting machines on these fronts:

    • Storage spaces
    • Queue spaces
    • Conveyor ports
    • Speed
    • Materials efficiency
    • Recipe availability

Therefor, for Fabricators, we might have:

    • Emergency: Storage 3, Queue 2, Ports 0, Speed +100%; Tier 1 at Efficiency +1 (meaning it costs +1 of each "ingredient"), no Tier 2 (or future Tier 3) goods.
    • Compact: Storage 5, Queue 3, Ports 0, Speed +50%; Tier 1 at Efficiency +0, Tier 2 at Efficiency +1, no Tier 3
    • Medium: Storage 7, Queue 4, Ports 1, Speed +0%; Tier 1 at Efficiency -1 (it costs 1 less, to a minimum of 1, for each "ingredient"), tier 2 at Efficiency +0, Tier 3 at Efficiency +1
    • Industrial: Storage 10, Queue 5, Ports 2, Speed -50%; Tier 1 and 2 at Efficiency -1, Tier 3 at Efficiency +0
