    Cruise Control?

How about making the mouse wheel work as a throttle? Not only would it solve the issue of getting tired of keeping the W-key pressed all the time, being able to reduce the speed with some finesse while navigating through a dense forest is a must for any high speed light wheeled vehicle, especially once the idea of vehicles getting damaged from collisions gets implemented.

Very much would like this. Especially, as you say, being able to throttle back on a speedy vehicle for close maneuvering, but still open up for top speed over unbroken ground / through unobstructed airspace.

We had a suggestion about using Caps Lock to "auto-run" acting like W is constantly pressed. But I really like the idea of a more "analog" approach with the scroll wheel as a throttle. Nice thought!

Personally, I'm watching for actual controller support, so I can use my HOTAS for driving... Would love to use my throttle from that!
