    Planet Nomads: physical copy?

    Hey guys!

I asked the developers a few month later in kickstarter:
Is it possible to buy the game as a physical copy?

And they said, we will see later (or something similar).
So, I really like this game, and I would like to know: Are you planning to create a physical copy of this game?

    Thanks your answer!

I don't know, but i would imagine: no.

    Why would they?

It's expense, and most people just get a code, add it to steam and 10 mins later, they have a game.

Who wants to stuff around with DVD's and copy protection when you can just put a code in?

Don't have steam? it's free, and relatively hassle free.

Steam is a great system, I am not sure if you need to have an internet connection to play games on it or just for downloading and updates.

Steams offline mode used to be very unstable, however they may have improved it since I last used it.
You only needed to login to the account and download the game and any updates. Then you could click "Go offline" and if you shut steam down it would remember the account, allowing you to play the game offline

Still the same answer, I'm afraid. If we manage to sign a retail publisher who would take it physical, then we could probably have physical copies, it's not a priority though.

Especially because we'll be in early access for some time and updating the game regularly, so physical copies would still need to download updates from somewhere, and having the Steam platform to help us distribute the updates is a win-win.

We do plan to have the offline version of Planet Nomads available.

physical copy is a way better than steam key!

first of all its completly yours, if you lose your steam account somehow, you lose your games in your steam account (and if you buy a game for steam its not yours, not a borrow but almost...)

you dont have to download the game when you want to setup (except the upgrades)

you will have a physical copy and you will be happy
