A very strange bug for me
I accidently removed a ceiling tile that was part of a patio style in front of my build and the whole patio blocks disappeared. Not only that but a lot of other parts went too. A Large container (which was full of items), Composite generator, Wall with exterior conveyor port, conveyor parts, Small contai ers and a Medium FAD. Wow ... it all went in one go.
The next part was also very strange, If I looked at a small container that was connected in the same loop I could then see the contents of each item that had disapeared. It was like all items were still there just not visible.
I slowly transfered each item from the unseen parts to another unconnected large container. Yes, it took some time but when I had all the minerals and parts tranfere, I then removed the final link between the visual items to those unseen and those unseen disappeared from the connections.
Just rebuilt it all and transfered all items back to where they were and now all works as expected.
Very strange bug indeed.
Unfortunately I have now over saved that game and not sure if the save would be useful to track this strange occurance.

Hi johndai,
Never seen this before. You can send us a save to see if there is some traces of the bug but they will be overwriten yet probably. Did you notice some lag or console errors during this? Wasn't this during save or autosave? While the items was invisible, did you try to go through the place where they was before?
Thank you for any clue.

Hi Martin, save is probably useless now as its been written over many times, soz about that.
This is a first for me too and very strange to witness. Once in 1,200 hrs not a bad score ;)
It all started when i deleted a part of the patio outside my build. The screen and game sort of stuttered, just for a sllit second. Thats when i noticed parts of my build was missing. Like items that i had recently built within the last hour. They were all virtually there just not visible.
I did reconstruct an item in the same place then stopped as l didn't want to lose anything.
My guess is the game jumped back to maybe my last save. Thats what it appears to have done as i replaced a window wall with a wall n conveyor port. After the stutter the window wall was back.
Tbh it was not a big problem for me as i am so used to building now lol.
I thought l should report it so you are aware in case it happens to another player.

Sometime save file gets corrupted, and blocks/items may disappear as they could not get saved. But this could be noticed only at load, and should never happen during open gameplay. During save or autosave nothing is loaded back from file, just written to file and everything stays in memory.
There must be some other bug, but very rare.
