Hello all,

If anyone was following Nvidia's new cards they have announced the release dates and pricing for the Gtx 1080/1070

gtx 1080: $600/founders $700 May 27th

gtx 1070: $379/founders $449 June 10th

founders editions are supposed to offer higher overclock potential

specs and more details on that site as well.

If anyone was planning on upgrading, I would hold off for now.Hope this helps.

There are certainly graphic artists on the team who are looking forward to have more performance to play with in Planet Nomads.

A little too expensive for me, but they sure look good. If they can really live up to the promise, those will be some cool and powerful cards. Hoping for a GTX 1060 or 1050 to be released as well.... something I can afford :D If those aren't released then it will be one of the 900 series, I'm sure the price of those will come down soon enough.

If game developers will also be switching to Vulcan more and more, these cards can deliver some extreme performance.

Hello all, just an update for everybody who was interested in the cards and planning on upgrading:

Please check the msrp and avoid buying cards that are way over priced. This is happening on Amazon especially. There are not enough cards to go around apparently. You can be auto notified when they become available which is probably your best bet. I can't say for sure when they will have cards available but i'm sure they'll restock soon. I haven't been able to upgrade yet due to the stock issue they have so I'm on the same boat

They are a bit above my budget, I have got my eyes on the new AMD RX series.

My power supply can just manage the RX 480, so that's not going to be it. All I need is decent gaming at 1080p, so the RX 470 will be the one. There's only one issue though..... the price is not the promised €150, it's way above it. The cheapest one I can get in here in the Netherlands is over €240, that is way above my budget. For now, no new card for me, my GTX 750 Ti will have to do a while longer.

It's probably for the best, you may as well sit on that card until they can get all the drivers rolling out so by the time you get it, it's smooth sailing :D
